Funds raised to date
Prior to launching, Tipping Point Film Fund was actively engaged in fundraising for certain projects. In particular it was part of a successful fundraising effort for Leila Sansour’s film The Road to Bethlehem. Included in this was a fundraising evening hosted by Amnesty International which raised £30,000.
Since launching in July 2009 Tipping Point Film Fund has helped raise £85,000 towards production and post production funding from individuals, faith groups and organisations for one of our priority projects The Road to Bethlehem.
Tipping Point Film Fund is working with film makers on the development of three further projects, and has helped raised £50k+ development funding for projects including Cashback (working title) and Imagine This (working title) and We Are Many. Feature documentary film funding is always hard to secure, arguably more so for challenging and provocative films such as we want to see made. This is why we are working to create a major new fund. Check out how we are doing this here.
Tipping Point Film Fund also made a small award to Just Do It by Emily James, as part of its crowd funding appeal for production funding.
